There is no such thing as the “right time.”
When you’re healing from cancer, it can be tempting to wait until you feel stronger, or until you have more energy. Waiting until the fear settles, or until life feels a little more normal.
But sometimes, there is no perfect moment. The time to begin is now, and it begins with you.
Healing takes time. There is no straight line, no deadline, and no expectation that you should simply “move on.”
Sometimes healing looks like a big step forward. Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed, going for a short walk, drinking enough water, writing down how you feel, asking for support, or simply giving yourself permission to rest.
Those small steps matter. Because you don’t have to change everything at once. You just have to take the next step.
❤️Be patient with yourself.
❤️Celebrate the small victories.
❤️Trust that progress doesn’t have to be dramatic to be meaningful.
Your healing journey is yours. And if you’ve been waiting for the right time to start taking care of you again, perhaps this is your reminder:
You don’t have to wait. Start where you are. Start small. Start now.
Love, Michelle
